Terms of Use
Effective October 9, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Human Quest LLC (“Human Quest”, “we”, “us”) for the Inversion Quest apps and the inversion.quest website (together, the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.
1. Health and safety
Handstands and other inversions carry a real risk of injury. Please read this section before you train.
Going upside down puts weight on your wrists, shoulders and neck, raises the pressure in your head and eyes, and can end in a fall. Falls and overloading can cause sprains, strains, fractures and head, neck or back injuries.
Check with a doctor first
Talk to a doctor before you start, and don’t practice inversions without their go-ahead, if you have or may have:
- high blood pressure, heart disease, or a history of stroke;
- glaucoma, a detached retina or another eye condition;
- neck, back, shoulder, elbow or wrist problems or injuries;
- a recent injury or surgery;
- epilepsy, vertigo or balance problems;
- or if you are pregnant.
Train safely
- Train within your ability and progress gradually. The app’s targets are suggestions, not requirements.
- Clear your space: a firm, non-slip floor, well away from furniture, glass and other people, with room to fall.
- Use a wall or a spotter while you learn, and learn to bail out of a handstand safely before you go freestanding.
- Warm up your wrists and shoulders before you go upside down.
- Stop immediately if you feel pain, dizziness, numbness, a headache or any change in your vision, and get medical advice if it doesn’t pass quickly.
- Put your phone where it can’t fall or be kicked, and don’t let the screen distract you mid-hold.
- If you are under 18, train only with a parent’s or guardian’s permission and with an adult present.
The app is not medical or professional advice
Inversion Quest is a training tool, not a medical device. The voice coach, camera measurements, form cues, targets, AI feedback and every other part of its content are general information, not medical, physiotherapy or professional coaching advice, and they can be wrong. The camera can misread your position, the timer can start or stop at the wrong moment, and AI answers can be inaccurate. Don’t rely on the app for your safety, and don’t let it replace a doctor, physiotherapist or qualified coach.
You decide when, where and how you train. To the extent the law allows, you take responsibility for the risks of the physical activity you do while using the Service.
2. Who can use Inversion Quest
You must be at least 13 years old, or the higher minimum age where you live, to use the Service. If you are under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you and supervise your training.
3. Your account
You can use the app without an account. If you sign in, you are responsible for keeping your sign-in secure and for what happens under your account; tell us at info@humanquest.net if you think someone else has used it.
Your Inversion Quest sign-in is the same account you use for Handstand Quest, our other handstand app. Deleting your account everywhere deletes the sign-in for both apps; the account deletion page explains the options.
4. The Service
Subject to these terms, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Inversion Quest app on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use, in line with the rules of the app store you got it from.
Some features need an internet connection, a sign-in, or your permission to use the camera, microphone, speech recognition or notifications. We may change, add or remove features, set limits on how much a feature can be used, or suspend the Service, for example for maintenance or security. We will try to give notice of major changes.
5. AI features
Some features use AI to write answers, feedback, workouts, plans and spoken lines. They work only when you are signed in and explicitly enable AI coaching, have daily limits, and may not be available in every version of the app. Most start only when you use them; while AI coaching is enabled, the app also asks for a short Coach’s take on its own after a new personal best. AI output is produced automatically and can be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable for you: check it against your own judgment and section 1 before you act on it.
The studio coach voice is AI-generated; it is not a human coach. Don’t use the AI features to create harmful content, to get around their limits, or to attack or probe our systems. The Privacy Policy explains what the AI features send and to whom.
6. Your content
Your practice data, clips, messages and anything else you create in the app stay yours. You give us a limited license to store, copy, process and transmit that content, through the providers named in our Privacy Policy, only to run the Service for you. The license ends when you delete the content, apart from copies we must keep by law.
We don’t upload your clips: they stay on your phone, and in your phone’s own backups, unless you share them. A form review you ask for sends up to four still images from one clip, as the Privacy Policy explains. When you share or export something, you are responsible for where you send it. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without owing you anything.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service in breach of any law or anyone else’s rights;
- access another person’s account or data, or try to;
- interfere with, overload or disrupt the Service, or bypass its security or usage limits;
- copy, decompile or reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it;
- scrape, resell or commercially exploit the Service or its content without our written permission.
8. Price and purchases
Inversion Quest has no in-app purchases or subscriptions today. If we introduce paid features, they will be sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play under that store’s payment, cancellation and refund terms, and we will show you the price and terms before you buy. Nothing in these terms affects refund or withdrawal rights you have by law.
9. Apple and Google
If you got the app from the Apple App Store:
- these terms are between you and Human Quest only, not Apple, and Human Quest, not Apple, is responsible for the app and its content;
- Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the app;
- if the app fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund any purchase price you paid for it; to the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app;
- Human Quest, not Apple, is responsible for any claims about the app, including product liability claims, claims that it fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, consumer protection claims, and claims that it infringes someone’s intellectual property;
- you confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a US government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not on a US government list of prohibited or restricted parties;
- you must also follow the terms of any third-party service you use with the app;
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, and these terms add to it.
If you got the app from Google Play, Google’s terms apply to your use of Google Play. Google is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for the app.
10. Our intellectual property
The app, its software, the studio coach voice, illustrations, exercise content and programs, and the Inversion Quest name and icon belong to Human Quest LLC or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. These terms give you no rights in them beyond the license in section 4.
11. Third-party services
The Service works with services run by others, such as Sign in with Apple, Google Sign-In, your phone’s speech recognition and YouTube videos. Their own terms and privacy policies apply, and we are not responsible for them.
12. Ending these terms
You can stop using the Service at any time, and delete your data or your account from the app. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if the law requires it, or to protect other users or the Service; where reasonable, we will tell you first. Sections that by their nature should continue, such as 1, 6 and 13 to 18, continue after these terms end.
13. Disclaimers
To the extent the law allows, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We don’t promise that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that its timing, measurements or AI output will be accurate, or that your data will never be lost; keep your own copy with Export my data.
14. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Human Quest LLC and its members, employees and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, use or goodwill, arising from or related to the Service.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim and US$50.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any liability that the law where you live does not allow to be limited or excluded, such as, in some countries, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
15. Indemnity
To the extent the law allows, you agree to indemnify Human Quest LLC against third-party claims, and the costs that come with them, that arise from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the Service. This does not apply where consumer law where you live does not allow it.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with its effective date and, for material changes, tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after that, the new terms apply; if you don’t agree, stop using it and delete your account.
17. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State in which Human Quest LLC is organized, USA, and applicable US federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to the next sentence, disputes will be heard in the state or federal courts located in that State. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, or any right you have to bring a claim in your local courts.
18. General
These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service. If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we don’t enforce a right straight away, we haven’t given it up. You may not transfer your rights under these terms; we may transfer ours as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, without reducing your rights. Apart from Apple as described in section 9, no one else has rights under these terms.
