Delete your Inversion Quest account
Updated October 9, 2026
Inversion Quest is made by Human Quest LLC. You can delete your Inversion Quest data, or your whole account, from inside the app. If you can’t use the app, email us and we will do it for you.
Delete it in the app
- Step 1: If Inversion Quest is signed in on more than one phone, sign out on the others first (You, Sign out). A phone that stays signed in can upload its copy of your profile again.
- Step 2: Open Inversion Quest and sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Step 3: On Today, tap the profile button in the top-right corner to open You.
- Step 4: Scroll to Your data and tap Delete account.
- Step 5: Choose Delete Inversion Quest data or Delete account everywhere (compared below).
- Step 6: Keep the app open while it shows its progress. If the connection drops, the rest is deleted the next time you open the app while online.
The two options
Delete Inversion Quest data
- Deletes all your Inversion Quest data from our cloud database: your profile, sessions, practice times, goals, custom exercises, workouts, plans and form reviews.
- Clears the app’s data from this phone: your practice, clips, reminders, coach chat and settings.
- Signs you out. Your sign-in itself stays, so you can keep using Handstand Quest.
- Your email address stays on our mailing list; unsubscribe with the link in any email, or ask us.
Delete account everywhere
- Does everything in the first option, then deletes your sign-in account and takes your email address off our mailing list.
- Inversion Quest and Handstand Quest share one sign-in, so you will no longer be able to sign in to Handstand Quest either.
- It does not delete your Handstand Quest data. To delete that too, email us and say so.
- For your security, deleting a sign-in can require a recent sign-in. If the app asks, your data is already deleted: sign in again and choose Delete account once more.
If you never signed in
Without an account, your practice exists only on your phone; there is nothing about it on our servers. To delete it, uninstall the app (use Export my data first if you want a copy). Crash reports and diagnostics sent while you were signed out are not linked to your name or email address and expire on their own, as described below.
Ask us by email
If you can’t use the app, we will delete your account for you:
- Email info@humanquest.net from the email address on your Inversion Quest account.
- Use the subject Delete my Inversion Quest account.
- Tell us whether you also want your Handstand Quest data deleted.
We may ask you to confirm the request from that address before we delete anything. We will never ask for your password. We complete requests within 30 days and email you when it’s done.
What is deleted
- Your Inversion Quest profile and training profile, including anything brought over from Handstand Quest.
- Every session and attempt, with its measurements, records and targets.
- Practice times and reminders, goals, favorites, custom exercises, saved workouts and plans, and form reviews.
- On the phone you delete from: your clips and thumbnails, coach chat, the app’s database and your settings.
- With Delete account everywhere, also your sign-in account (email address, name, photo link and sign-in method), and your email address is taken off our mailing list. If you used Sign in with Apple, Apple may still list Inversion Quest among the apps using your Apple Account; you can remove it in your Apple Account settings, under Sign in with Apple.
What may be kept, and for how long
| What | How long |
|---|---|
| Cached coach audio and the database’s offline cache on your phone | Until you uninstall the app. |
| Your phone’s own backups (iCloud, or Google’s Android backup) | Controlled by you and Apple or Google. |
| Your Handstand Quest data. Neither option deletes it, and after Delete account everywhere you can no longer sign in to it. | Until you ask us to delete it, which we do within 30 days. |
| Inversion Quest data on another phone that is still signed in to the account | On that phone until you sign out there. If it saves a change first, it can upload its copy of your profile and pending changes again, so sign out on other phones before you delete. |
| Clips of attempts you removed one by one, thumbnails, and clips of sessions deleted on another phone | On that phone until you sign out, delete your data there, or uninstall the app. |
| With Delete Inversion Quest data only: your sign-in account, and your email address on our mailing list | Until you delete your account everywhere. Unsubscribing stops the emails. |
| A record at Mailchimp of a removed or unsubscribed address | Until you ask us to erase it. |
| Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics), which can include your user ID but not your name or email | Up to 90 days, then deleted automatically. |
| App diagnostics (Google Analytics for Firebase), not linked to your account | Up to 14 months. |
| AI coach requests at OpenAI (our server keeps no content) | Up to 30 days, under OpenAI’s API terms. |
| AI usage counts under a pseudonymous key, with no names or content | Up to 13 months, in monthly counter files. |
| Server logs (Google Cloud) and website logs (Vercel) | Up to 30 days, then deleted automatically. |
| Copies in our providers’ backup systems | Up to 180 days. |
| Your emails with us about the request | Up to 2 years, as a record that we handled it. |
Anything you shared or exported yourself, such as a clip or a data file, is outside the app and isn’t affected. More detail is in the Privacy Policy.
How long it takes
- In the app: right away, while the app shows its progress. If it’s interrupted, it finishes the next time you open the app while online.
- By email: within 30 days of your request, or of your confirmation if we ask for one.
Delete some data and keep your account
- A session: open it from Progress, tap the menu, then Delete session. The clips of the attempts still in it are deleted with it; their thumbnails, and the clips of attempts you removed one by one, stay on the phone until you sign out, delete your data or uninstall.
- A practice time: open You, Practice plan & reminders, and delete it.
- Coach chat: in Coach, choose Clear this conversation.
- All your Inversion Quest data: choose Delete Inversion Quest data. Your sign-in stays.
Your privacy choices
- Use it without an account. Your practice then stays on your phone.
- Camera: turn off Auto-detect with camera and Clip every attempt in the practice setup, or don’t allow camera access. Pose detection runs on your phone either way.
- Microphone: turn off Voice commands in the practice setup, or don’t allow microphone and speech access.
- AI coach features: only for signed-in users who explicitly enable AI coaching. Turn AI coaching off in You to stop new requests, including the automatic Coach’s take after a personal best and personal coach lines. A request already sent may finish. See what they send.
- Reminders: turn them off in You, Practice plan & reminders, or in your phone’s notification settings.
- Your data: export it with Export my data, and delete it or your account as described above.
- Mailing list: unsubscribe with the link in any email from it, or email us.
- Advertising: we don’t sell your information, show ads, or share your information for advertising. On Android, the diagnostics library can read your device’s advertising ID; we don’t use it for ads, and you can reset or delete it in Android settings.
- Any other request, such as access or correction: email info@humanquest.net.
